Illinois House Decisively Rejects Lawsuit Loan Bill
Senate Bill 3322, the non-recourse litigation financing bill better known to tort reform supporters as the "lawsuit loan shark bill" went down to thundering defeat in the Illinois House of Representatives yesterday. The vote was 28 in favor, 87 against, and one representative voting present.

Illinois: Veto Session Ends Without Action on Workers' Compensation Reform
The Illinois General Assembly's veto session ended without acting on workers' compensation reform. As reported earlier, the possibility of achieving long-time-needed reforms emerged when the legislative leadership created special bi-partisan committees to address the issue.
